On May 9, 2024, the Seda Hotel in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) became a bustling hub of knowledge and camaraderie, as the Capital Markets Integrity Corporation (CMIC) hosted its eagerly awaited face-to-face seminar. With a solid turnout of 162 attendees, the atmosphere was charged with excitement and anticipation.

The event commenced with opening remarks delivered by Mr. Gerard B. Sanvictores, President of CMIC, setting the tone for a day filled with valuable insights and discussions.

One of the primary sessions focused on common CMIC findings and updates on amendments to the CMIC rules. The speaker, Atty. Jose Martin O. General, AVP & Head of the Investigation and Enforcement Department at CMIC, led this critical discussion. He was joined by an esteemed panel including Ms. Grace M. Calubaquib, AVP & Head of the Surveillance Department at CMIC, Ms. Anna Bernadette S. Cordero, Head of the Audit & Compliance Department at CMIC, Atty. Veronica V. Del Rosario, VP & Head of the Office of the General Counsel at PSE, and Mr. Roel M. Villanueva, AVP & Head of the Market Operations Division at PSE. Together, they provided a comprehensive review aimed at enhancing compliance and ensuring the integrity of the market.

Escartin, GCR Partner at SGV & Co., shared valuable insights into recent improvements designed to simplify the tax process. A notable highlight was the deep dive into the Maharlika Wealth Fund. Mr. Andrew Jerome T.
